Maroochydore, a city with a lot to offer.

Maroochydore, as we know it today, first began to develop in 1912. By 1920, with a permanent population of 70, it began to grow enough to require schools, churches, business houses, a post office, and even a bitumen main road! Small beginnings for what is now regarded as the hotspot of not only the Sunshine Coast, but in Queensland.

Maroochydore has been ranked as one of the most liveable cities, and it’s not hard to see why. Smarter, greener, brighter are three words that you commonly see used to describe the hub of the Sunshine Coast. From incredible schools, environmentally friendly campaigns to awesome activities, there is so much to do!

Right near Where You Bean Café, you will find Immanuel Lutheran College, one of Sunshine Coast’s leading independent schools. Of course we can’t look past other incredible schools in the area. Maroochydore State High School and Maroochydore State School are central to the area with a backdrop of beautiful beaches and a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.
